Ashby museum has an archive of over 3000 photographs – both original and copies. This page allows people to view the main group of photographs, but does not include photographs in specialist collections as these often include ones that are not in our primary area of interest. Larger images may be viewed at the museum during opening hours, and copies for private use may be purchased.

Mr. Gilbert Hutchinson, who owned and lived at Norris Hill 1921-1928, showing one of his prize shires. Mr. Hutchinson was the last resident of the house (daughter was Lottie). A Mr. W.O. Trivet also lived there for a short while.

Norris Hill, built in 1845 by Henry Brown an Ashby solicitor and farmer. In June 1928, at the Royal Hotel, Ashby, Mr. Blakesley bought this "charming freehold country residence".
