Ashby museum has an archive of over 3000 photographs – both original and copies. This page allows people to view the main group of photographs, but does not include photographs in specialist collections as these often include ones that are not in our primary area of interest. Larger images may be viewed at the museum during opening hours, and copies for private use may be purchased.

(originally the court to the rear of the Old George). As late as
1911, an Inspector's report said "more than 50% of the houses I
visited are altogether unfit for human habitation!!) Those
buildings (on left) were developed into various units for
various trades in the 1990's.

Union Passage, the Christadelphian Church. Originally met in
the old Floral Hall in Bath Street, then in Kilwardby Street,
and finally moved to Union Passage in 1924. Photo taken probably
between 1970's and 80's. In 1930's, until after World War II,
Ashby library was situated in part of the building. In 2009,
closed for major revamp and reopened in May 2010.
